Dues
Should I pay my dues in cash or by check?
Either one. If you pay by check, please make it payable to Genie Parker.
When is my payment due?
Since we must pay the rent for the school on the 1st of every month, it's a big help if we can pay several days, and maybe even a week, before the 1st. If you do, Sifu will say "Bless your heart."
I want to come once a week, so the monthly rate is $45, but since I just started and there are only 2 classes left this month, do I need to pay the full monthly rate?
Of course not. Just pro-rate it. So for those two classes the rate would be $22.50.
I am going on a cruise in the Mediterranean and will be gone for 3 weeks. Am I expected to pay dues for the weeks I miss class?
Doing so is very much appreciated. We are a grass-roots organization, without funding or an endowment. Support is 100% from student dues, which we try to keep reasonable without asking for long-term contracts. We have to pay the same rent each month, no matter who attends class.
May I mail in my check?

I have a hectic family and work schedule. If I pay the monthly rate of $45 for one class a week, may I come sometimes on Thursday and sometimes on Monday, and make my own schedule of classes, putting in the 4 classes per month however I can?
Sure. No problem.
I have a lot going on in my life and right now can't make a commitment to come 4 times a month, so it doesn't make sense for me to pay the monthly rate. However, I still enjoy coming by the Academy to practice when I have the time. Can I come sporadically?
Yes. You can pay a drop-in fee. It is currently $15 per class.
