Halloween 2011 This shishi lion seems to be alive. Have a closer look at the wonderful jack-o'-lantern Deirdre Moore made and shared with us this Halloween. If it's too scary, just keep in mind that the ears and tongue are really plastic cups and the eyes are gummy candy. |

Workshop presented by Grand Master Wu Kwong Yu
September 10 and 11, 2011 Once again we were fortunate that Grandmaster Eddie Wu Kwong Yu took the time to visit our school. His demonstrations of expertise, power and generosity left us a tremendous legacy. The weekend was particularly exciting because Grandmaster Wu inducted two new disciples and certified six new intermediate instructors who will teach under the wing of Sifu Genie Parker. |

| Chinese New Year's celebration, February 6, 2011
We had a wonderful time celebrating the Chinese New Year at Great Lakes Chinese Seafood Restaurant in Ann Arbor.
We saw old friends and feasted on all kinds of delicacies. So did the lion. It was yellow this year, and extra friendly.
We were fortunate to visit with Master Henry Chung, his disciples and students.
The Lion Dance by Chung's School of Praying Mantis Kung Fu and the demonstration of forms by students of the school were terrific.
